About Sherri...
Sherri grew up in a small rural community where she played softball and basketball, she was a cheerleader, active in 4-H, FFA, FBLA, band and color guard. Through the years she has enjoyed showing horses, singing the National Anthem, performing at the Oklahoma Opry and the Rodeo Opry. She has been involved in rodeo production and pageantry. Sherri was Miss Rodeo Oklahoma in 2000 and Mrs. Oklahoma American in 2021 and 2023 where she traveled across the state advocating and speaking on living a heart healthy lifestyle. Besides pageantry, photography, and student ministry; Sherri is a full time 1st Grade Teacher where she enjoys seeing her students thrive in the classroom.
Sherri began her heart health advocacy after her father suffered a stroke. She was introduced to Go Red For Women through the pageant system she was involved with at the time, an endeavor that ended up being life-changing for her family. The life-saving knowledge of recognizing the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and stroke helped save her husband's life.
Today, Sherri shares her husband's story along with advocating for women's health, and encouraging people to make their health a priority. To Sherri, our most important love project is ourselves. Outside of that, the best elements of her journey are serving God, serving others, and the joy that comes from meeting new people.
